Family is a very vast aspect. And to be a member of any family is a great thing in itself. I have a family - the great "PANDYA FAMILY". It is documented in history that Pandyas were once a royal dynasty. Now, they are simply common men and women living normal lives. In my paternal family there are TWO sisters and SIX brothers. And amongst these EIGHT cousins, there is me - the youngest of all- SAGAR PANDYA.
To be the youngest brother proves very boring and quite not beneficial at certain times. When you are a small kid, you will definitely follow your brothers and sisters everywhere. You will even cry to go anywhere with them. But the most tragic scene in one's life is that they even don't BOTHER about you. Certain do but not ALL. They really don't.
Now when u will be of 10 or 12.....
They will go to see a movie, will dine outside and will enjoy. Alone. Excluding the youngest. They won't allow you to act freely and to do whatever you prefer but they will FORCE you to follow THEIR instructions. At times, they will be so lazy that they will even ask YOU to fetch THEM a glass of water. In short they will try to RULE over your life. This is very bad mentality of elder siblings and cousins. Every , every elder brother will think of you as a spoon fed little baby, new and novice to the society and the world, EVEN WHEN YOU WILL BE 16!!!
Now, AS EVERY COIN HAS TWO SIDES....
There are even few benefits of being the youngest. Like, you get much more love and care than the elder ones from your parents and uncles and aunts. Though thank God that all my brothers aren't same, but there are a few for whom I am writing this blog.
Besides, looking at the glass half full, I get more chocolates and get to watch more movies than the rest of them. Also, I get more cash on diwali then anyone else in the family from all the elders. The only time when things become irritating is when the elder brothers dont involve me in their discussions and outings.
They feel as if I am too young to understand or adapt to their talks. I just want to convey that I am not! I am old enough to understand their talks and gestures.
By the way, don't feel bad about anything after reading all this. I would also like to mention that I have a very nice, cool and handsome brother called MAULIK. He is really a great bro.
So here is my final request and advice to all the kids who are the youngest in their families - Learn to live your life by yourself. HOW MUCH WILL YOU DEPEND ON OTHERS ???
